This usually comes bundled with audio interfaces or MIDI keyboards. There’s also another version of Ableton Live available called Live Lite. These are add-ons you can install to get more sounds, instruments and effects for your repertoire. Fortunately, each version of Live supports 3rd party plugins (often referred to as VSTs). While there are some slight feature differences, the biggest difference is in the number of sounds, instruments and effects that you get. It’s totally legal and much more reliable and doesn’t sacrifice much in terms of features.Ībleton Live comes in multiple versions Intro, Standard and Suite. You’ll end up stuck in the same position, hesitant to fork out a large chunk of cash for something you’re not quite yet confident with.įortunately, there’s a much better way to get started with Ableton Live for free. There is a fully featured 30-day trial, but 30 days isn’t enough time to really learn the ins and outs of what you can do with the software. Believe me, I’ve been using Live for almost 10 years and I still learn new things every day. It’s potential for music-making is literally limitless. Ableton Live Suite comes with a range of incredible built in instruments and effects, as well as unique tools like MaxForLive. Regardless, there’s one major obstacle you’ll run into when trying to get started with Ableton Live… the price.Ībleton Live is expensive for a reason it’s an insanely powerful piece of software that’s been continuously improved for around 20 years by a team of 100s of people. On the Mac, 1Password even supports Smart Folders, letting you dynamically select items based on criteria that you specify-so, for example, if you want to see all the Web site passwords that haven’t been updated in a year. In Peak mode, this controls the brightness of the background colour fades performed by lights which are not currently pulsing. If you’re not getting enough action, try moving this up, but only after trying the disco intensity slider first. It acts as a trim on the input signal when performed when detecting beats. Normally you should keep this at 50 (the default – multiplier of 1.0). Basically, the more you move it to the right, the more changes you see. The intensity of the beat is also considered in this calculation. This slider controls decay after beat is detected before another will be performed for the channel. Slower music will like this more to the left. If on, the app counts beats and when a few measures have been detected, it switches the lights to a faster pulse mode for a more dynamic disco! After a few more measures, it switches back to longer pulses. If switched off, the lights will snap between colours when triggered. If this is on, the lights will pulse and fade. The color sliders for each frequency band allow you to change the range of color that will be displayed for each disco channel. HueDynamic also provides lots of other options for customizing your Philips Hue disco, such as: Hue Color Sliders Low latency sound to light disco modes with or without a microphone Currently this mode is restricted on the number of lights it will command to avoid overloading your Hue bridge and slowing its response time. The light changes for each enabled channel will be distributed across all the lights in your group. This mode works better with a wider variety of music than the peak mode. You can decide which bands you are interested in and enable or disable as you require. There are three bands which roughly correspond to low, mid and high frequencies in the music. This mode is more advanced than peak mode, but not necessarily better depending on the music you are listening to. This is great for dance and popular music where there is an obvious regular bass drum or, erm, beat! This mode scales quite well to large numbers of lights and is the recommended mode if you have over 6 lights in your room / group. ![]() Peak mode configures live disco to use a beat detection method based on the peak energy level detected in the input signal. The most versatile finish for most home applications is a satin finish that combines the soft warmth of a matte or flat finish with the ease of cleaning that comes with semi-gloss or gloss finishes. What is the best paint finish for plaster walls? ![]() The paint shop or home improvement store should know if your paint requires this, and can mix the appropriate primer. Some bright colors, especially reds and yellows, will usually look better with a tinted primer. For a premium option, Sherwin Williams offers durable primers specifically for plaster. Kilz brand primers are known for their stain-blocking capabilities and are available at many home improvement centers. Perhaps most useful are oil primer’s ability to fill and seal the surface of the plaster. Oil-based primers are also great at sealing out moisture, which can be a major problem for old plaster walls. They have superior stain blocking abilities, and will keep any old stains from bleeding through to new paint. Oil-based primers are the best option for old walls. Plaster walls are more vulnerable to moisture than drywall, and require high-quality primers. What’s the best primer for plaster walls? Once the surface is roughly level, smooth the surface with high grit sandpapers to create a smooth surface for the primer coat. To do that, start by blending any patches or new plaster into the old plaster with rough grit sandpapers. The goal is to create a smooth, even surface with no visible cracks or holes. Larger holes from old bolts or longer cracks should be patched just like drywall and sanded. It remains flexible, so the crack will be less likely to reappear. Paintable caulk can be used to fill minor cracks. Plaster walls are unforgiving, and any cracks that are left alone will likely spread. This process can be tedious, but it’s one of the most important steps. Once you have the walls stripped down to bare plaster, you’ll need to repair and patch any cracks or old damage. Chemical Strippers – For paint that’s relatively intact.Paint scrapers and sandpaper – For chipped and peeling old paint. ![]() The first step to painting old plaster walls is to remove whatever is covering them. Always wear eye protection and a respirator when sanding or stripping old paints. ![]() Safety Tip: Most older house paints contain lead. Paint on plaster will only look as good as the prep work underneath it though, so make sure not to skip any steps. The good news is you can paint these walls with the same equipment you would use on sheetrock! From a classic restoration to a modern restyle, you can make plaster walls look great with a fresh coat of paint. Many classic homes may come with perfectly intact plaster walls hidden behind dated wallpaper or layers of peeling paint. This guide will answer all your questions about painting your plaster walls. Modern homeowners are probably familiar with drywall or sheetrock, but not plaster. From antique mansions to old country cottages, these beautiful walls can still be found in many homes today. Finally, the existing landscaping adjacent to each of the seawall systems would be rehabilitated. The existing sidewalk on top of the seawall along the Tidal Basin will be replaced. ![]() The stone from the historic wall would be salvaged and reused in construction of the higher walls. The existing masonry seawall would be stabilized and raised along the historic alignment. The proposed action would help keep these areas from flooding during normal tidal events, minor flood stage events, and would help prevent continued loss of material. The NPS proposes to rebuild and elevate the seawalls to re-establish the historic functional height of the walls in such a way as to provide for a sustainable solution that expands the lifecycle of the seawalls and future extensions of the wall to respond to changing climate patterns, including storms of greater intensity and frequency. The current condition affects visitor use, experience and safety since the pedestrian trails in many areas have degraded creating trip and fall hazards and are inaccessible due to standing water, mud and debris left behind from daily flooding. This area experiences large numbers of visitors every day of the year with peak visitation during the spring with the blooming of the Cherry Blossoms. This has led to reduced public access, damage to the cultural landscape and park infrastructure, resulting in negative impacts to visitor use and experience. In the years since their construction, the seawalls have significantly settled and been compromised, leading to overtopping of the seawalls in some sections twice a day during normal tidal conditions and the water does not dissipate in a timely manner due to poor drainage. The proposed action includes 6,800 linear feet of seawall that is administered by the NPS through the National Mall and Memorial Parks (Park) and located in the District of Columbia. The purpose of the public scoping comment period is to provide interested parties with an opportunity to comment on the seawall rehabilitation concept. ![]() This 30-day public scoping effort is the first step in the EA process the NPS is conducting in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA). The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking public comments on an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed rehabilitation of portions of the Tidal Basin and the entire West Potomac Park seawalls. The projected system longevity reaches more than eight years in most patients. After initial setbacks due to implantation- and device-related adverse events, leadless pacemaker technology was soon shown to be effective. In 2012, the first-in-man implantation of a right ventricular leadless pacemaker was performed. His bundle pacing or left bundle branch area pacing ). However, more than 20% of patients experience complications within five years after implantation, mostly related to the pacing leads. Transvenous PM implantation is considered a relatively safe long-term therapy. My feeling while playing the game is that it really feels like it was one of the first jRPGs specifically designed for the Playstation, and really wants to show off those capabilities. I do recommend it, especially if you still like playing some of the older games. ![]() It has pretty stellar music and an atmosphere that is just incredible. At times the game is challenging but it is by no means the hardest RPG I have ever played. It does have the drawback of playing like a Super NES/early PSX RPG so the encounter rate is kind of high and you will be fighting a lot of random battles. I don't think the remake on PS2, which added a lot of gameplay elements from the newer Wild ARMs titles, is better (just different mostly). IMO Wild ARMs on PS1 is an all time great, and the best entry in the series. They also started adding gameplay mechanics that I personally found awkward, like the migrant system where you'd have to "search" for towns. Later games in the series pushed further and further away from the fantasy aspect and delved further into the western element. The guy who actually uses guns as his special attacks also uses a sword for melee combat. Your cowboy party member is a swordsman for instance. The atmosphere of the game is a very strange fusion of classic JRPG high fantasy and western. It is a puzzle RPG that I would compare favorably to Lufia II from SNES. Since a Hand Crossbow is both of those things, if you fired it as part of the Attack action, then you can also fire it as a bonus action too.īut technically, RAW, if you are holding two Hand Crossbows you can fire them each once and then must drop or put away one of them to free a hand to load the other. In addition you can fire it as a bonus action on your turn if you have made an attack with a light, One-Handed weapon. If you have a Hand Crossbow and the Extra Attack class feature then you can also fire that more than once per turn as well. The Crossbow Expert feat let’s you ignore the loading property, but not the ammunition property which requires a free hand to load the weapons. With the Crossbow Expert feat you can only fire a Light Crossbow or a Heavy Crossbow more than once per turn if you have the Extra Attack class feature and only because the feat lets you ignore the loading property. The Heavy Crossbow has the ammunition, loading, and two-handed properties, and also adds the heavy property too. It has the ammunition, and loading, properties, as well as the two-handed property. The Light Crossbow is “light” in name only, it does not actually have that light weapon property. The Hand Crossbow has the light, ammunition, and loading properties. There are three different types of crossbow- crossbow, hand, crossbow, light, crossbow, heavy. Although- you would still have to sheath the sword after doing the sword attack to load the crossbow. ![]() So yes I would do a HB rule that states that Crossbow Expert allows you to load a weapon without using a free hand.Įdit: You can do the bonus action attack after a non-crossbow attack, I think the feat was actually supposed to be used with a sword in one hand and a crossbow in the other, hence why it doesn't really work with two hand crossbows. However, if you have two one-handed crossbows, you can only shoot twice and then you can't shoot anymore because you don't have two hands. You can do this because while the light handed crossbow requires two hands, your only holding one light crossbow so you have 2 hands. The feat allows you to shoot a single hand crossbow twice in a single turn, and then twice again on your next turn, etc. Note it does not say they need to be different crossbows. Read the feat- it allows you to shoot a hand-crossbow as a bonus action after making a attack. ![]() But only this feat allows firing two hand crossbows in one turn according to RAW. Unless this feat now means that you can reload on the same turn and fire it twice, which I don’t think it does. I guess you could shoot it, then drop it and pick up a second already pre-loaded crossbow and shoot that? Yes the hand crossbow has both the light property and what's basically the two-handed property. Read the ammunition property, "you need a free hand to load a one-handed weapon". There is no free hand requirement for reloading. Monstrous Compendium Vol 3: Minecraft Creatures |
